I don't think I posted these pics in this thread so here they are:
This bench is used for my presses. Current I have a Ponsness Warren 800+ (12ga) and Rock Chucker setup on the bench but I'll be ordering a Dillon Super 1050 with the case trimmer during the first week of December. Reloading .223 on a single stage press has became too time consuming to reload thousands of rounds on at a time. 
This is my brass prep bench. I sent my order to Dillon this morning for a CV-2001 so I'm looking forward to getting rid of the FA tumbler (the FA tumbler is a tank though). 
Here's the PW mounted. I could never imagine reloading shotshells on a single stage again. All I need to get is the hull feeder and I'll be good to go.

I was going to order the Super 1050 about a month ago but came across the PW for a killer price of $525 shipped and this machine is in 99% condition. So at that price I couldn't turn down purchasing the PW and had to put buying the 1050 off for a few weeks. If all goes as planned this spring I'll be getting a house with an outbuilding dedicated to reloading so hopefully there's a few more machines in my future.

This is my garage set up. My reloader is a Dillon 450 I believe. This was purchased in 1983 when I was a young soldier. The same for the scale which is a Ohaus 10-10, and the tumbler which is a Lyman 1200. I built this bench (last of many over the years) in 2002 when I retired from the Army. It is bolted to the wall for added stability with the pictured drawers added about six months ago. What do you think?

Here are some pics of my bench, as it stands now, based on the "2x4 Basics" kit (which consists of the heavy-duty plastic legs and attachment hardware..plus a few little screw-on hooks and other doo-dads). It's 72" wide, 30" deep and the work surface is 35" from the floor. Perfect for my height. I just built the shelving, constructed of MDF and some pegboard, and mounted it today. It's 12" deep, is 36" tall and the bottom of the lowest shelf clears the work surface by 16".
It's a work in progress, and still needing a couple coats of urethane, some plastic storage bins, etc. I'm thinking of making some cabinet doors for the shelving unit, but will wait for a weekend when I'm feeling more ambitious. My apologies for the bluriness of the photos. I'm having some problems with my camera's autofocus in relatively low light conditions. 
And just for scale, and to show how much work room there is...

Yes, I'd definitely use it again...and heartily recommend it to anyone who, like me, wanted a bench that was easy-to-build (especially if you're not really a woodworker) yet still customizable to a fair degree. I did nothing to change the legs, as the height just happened to be what I wanted it to be, give or take an inch. In fact, I'd say that's just about the only significant weak point of the kit. You can't make it taller if you want to...though I suppose you could prop the legs up on some blocks if you wanted to take it up a couple of inches. Support for a couple of drawers would have been a nice bonus too. But you could add those if you really wanted to. |

This is my little reloading set-up. Only place I had to put everything(the only place she would let me put it) was the walk-in closet, Complete with shooting window. There was not enough light so I use a Flourscent drop light.  It does not look sturdy but it is, I have it screwed to the wall. And when I got the lyman 4500 sizer I had to put a brace beside it. You can see the 20$ brace right beside the sizer . Yes that was supposed to be for the white top I have bolted to the bench.  I did manage to steal one shelf from her. I have about 600 loaded 45acp and 700 40s&w. Should be about 350 more of each but someone keeps shooting them up .The brass cleaning station is in the master bath. There is enough room under the sinks to store the tumbler, extra brass etc. |

Here is my reloading room. It's a little bit of a mess right now. Too much going on with the holidays. Need to straighten it out and organize.
I have an outlet behind the bench. I need to take a hole saw to the bench so I can run my power for the casefeeder and tumbler so the cords are out of the way.

pics of my first bench. Used the plans that were on this site with some mods:
-3 shelfs instead of just 1 -used spare 4x4's under the top to mount presses to -used bolts w/ washers, split washers, and wingnuts to mount presses and trimming station yes, i haven't finished cleaning eveything up in the room yet. 
i am only using the redding PM stand to hold the LnL PM when it is not on the press

After 18+ years of working in various closets, basement corners and storage rooms that weren't big enough to store anything in, I finally got around to building a "proper" set-up.
The Best $40 I ever spent at a furniture store going out of business sale. 
Now I actually have a place to put components when I purchase them. |
