I noticed a few Aug types had extended pic. rails.....it would appear they are extensions attached to the existing flat rails.  Are these aftermarket pieces made by whom?

I got the last military rail Pete had in stock for my AUG. It is slightly higher and longer. Made a difference for me mounting an optic. Promoted Pawn also makes stuff for the MSAR.

My FN Bullpups.  I've had a few different ones (MSAR, Bushmaster 17, etc) - but something about these FN's just make me keep them.

(Might be that the P90 is SBR with my name engraved on it that keeps me from trading it away. Ha!)

Thanks. It was slightly hard to find, but I got one that was still new and didn't have to pay more than a regular stock set costs luckily.

Apparently Charles Daly is back in business and there will be a Tavor this year.  Saw a video from SHOT 2012 showing it.

Let's cross our fingers!   I hope it 1. gets here and 2. doesn't cost too much.

Here is a comparison with 16" AUG-P, 14.5" AR, and 10.5" AR. All rifles have the buttstock against the edge of the box of my new brother printer.
With the fiberlite stock extended on the 10.5", the AR is longer than the 16" AUG-P. Collapsed, the 10.5" AR is about an inch shorter than the 16" AUG-P.

I can take pic comparisons with a 16" AR and a 20" AUG if anyone wants to see the differences with those as well.

Sorry about the big red letters but firearmblog.com has a tendency to take without asking

I didn't see this till now... Gun laws are ok, they used to be better though. You could compare it to NY or CA type gun laws but a bit better or worse depending on the specific part of the law.

No semi-auto rifles. Nor semi-auto rifles converted to straight pull (ie no gastube in an AR).
No semi-auto shotguns.
No military rds in any firearm: 9mm, .40, 5.56, 7.62x39 or 7.62x51.
There is no "SBR or SBS" type laws. You can have any barrel length you want, consequently only criminals (who can't own them anyway) have extreme SBS or SBR type weapons.
I don't know about suppressors, never seen one or heard about anyone owning one, I assume they are illegal.

Semi auto pistols and revolvers are ok. .357 magnum is popular...
There is no magazine capacity restriction.
Lever and bolt action rifles are ok. 30-30, 40-40, and .45-70 are the popular lever action calibers. .308, .243, .270 etc is the normal bolt action caliber you'll find.
Interestingly .308, .223, .45, and 12gauge are ok.
You can buy hollowpoints and slugs if you want.
Reloading is popular, but equipment (not supplies) is the really expensive part.
IDPA, ISPC, etc is very popular depending on which part of the country you live in. I live in MG (home of IMBEL) and there are many "ranges" and shooting clubs, stores, etc.

Ownership is limited to 12 firearms total.
Firearm ownership is an involved process, but nothing more difficult than say buying a pistol in New York (except there is a psych analysis).
Conceal Carry is legal and nationwide. It is sort of "shall issue" to rich and connected people, but the average person can get a conceal license fairly hassle free.
The police/military police would be happy if you used your firearm on certain segments of society, so "self defense" shootings (if legitimately self defense) are not prosecuted... you may even get a high five from the police. I think many lawful shootings go unreported as the bad guys usually run off before dying or the shooter walks away casually (this doesn't mean it is like the wild west on the streets) Common sense should tell you what areas/times of night to avoid just like in the USA...

Taurus, Rossi, and Imbel are the main sellers due to their lower cost. Something imported like a Glock, Colt, or STI will cost a couple thousand in American Dollars. Accessories are also very expensive... truglo sights for Glock cost about $300 a set. Firearm parts, magazines, ammo, components are strictly regulated to those who are approved to own firearms.

We can get the Glock 25 and Glock 28.

I live part of the year in the USA, so almost everything I own is in the US and it all would be considered restricted in Brasil.

Because this is a pic thread:
