Thank you I'm really, really happy with it. Been using it for several days now. It works like a champ, there's a LOT of workable blade on there.

That might just be my favorite one yet! I'd buy it in a heartbeat if I had the cash.

The effect on the blade, did you do that with the cold bluing and sanding trick again? LOVE it.

It was soaked in vinegar and then stone washed in a vibratory tumbler with ceramic media and the random dark spots are scuffs from the torture test. I love a knife that has a good used look.

Your knife turned out great. I love the look of Damascus.

Thank you

I know what you mean about the worn look. That blade is so unbelievably bad ass. I had to show a buddy of mine who's in to custom knives, he said it was better than Viagra

Thanks. I consider that one small-medium, 3 1/2" blade and about 8" overall. I have been thinking of D2 and then thought, why not just start using CPM 3V instead. Right?

Benchmade 585SBK ?

My first ever benchmade was the 585BK. Works like a charm and I still rotate it in my EDC system.

Got the first of two new knives today. This is the CRKT Tuition. My fiancee works on a ranch, primarily with horses, and she needed a good knife that fit her small hands well. She wanted something with a pocket clip, serrations that wouldn't snag cutting rope and cord, and no pointed tip so if she had to cut free a rope from a horse she couldn't accidentally gouge the animal, even if it was moving. I love CRKTs, particularly ones with Veff serrations. My personal EDC is a Mini My Tighe and a M-21 lives on my PC, so I'm confident she'll get good use of it. I like the stainless blade too because it won't need much maintenance. Perfect.

I looked at about 50 knives before deciding, but kept coming back to this one and the Benchmade Mini Griptilian 555, so in true ARFcom fashion, I ordered both. Can't wait to get the Griptilian so I can play with it too.

Thanks! Wow, never heard of American Kami, so I just checked out their website... There are some seriously cool blades on that page! Some are seriously expensive too.

I still want a Dustwun more

Thanks!  Of the 5 knives I've made so far this is my favorite too.  I'm currently finishing two more.  One will go to a buddy of mine that's a firefighter and the other will go....Well, who knows.

Various folders. Top three are my EDC knives.
Top to bottom:
CRKT M16-04Z
CRKT M16-01KZ
SOG Twitch II
Kershaw Vapor
Camillus Lev-R-Lok

On Left:
Swiss Army BSA Huntsman
Old Timer

SOGalicious

My dad and I were admiring the top knife at a local colonial festival (Feast of the Hunters Moon, West Lafayette, IN) several years ago and he snuck away to buy it for me for Christmas. I can't remember the makers full name but the blade and sheath are marked Watson. Wish I knew more about the maker.
The rest are a cheap Winchester knife, RAT5 and KaBar Kukri

The one on the left is my Grandfather's bayonet that he was issued in the Army Air Corp. The right is a Type 30 Arisaka bayonet (I believe) that he picked up in Japan during the occupation.

Left, run of the mill M7 bayo. Right, HK bayo.
