Shows out of stock for me? Looked there, Thoroughbred, and Adco.

Thank you sir! New to this whole realm so I’m still learning.

Alex at Trajectory was working on them as of the other day. I think he said they needed a replacement tool to finish them but I know they're forthcoming.

Met the AE team at Ben Avery today. Sharp people and the M24 can was particularly impressive.

Awesome! I just sent my barrel off to ADCO to get chopped and contoured. Should be perfect timing.

Can anyone recommend who to send a SCAR20S barrel to for an Ops contour and chop?  I would go D. Wilson, but it looks like he's not doing the contouring at the moment.

I’d reach out to Parker Mountain Machine.  Not sure of they do OPS stuff, but they do a lot of SCAR work and will tune the gun.  Buddy is having them chop a 20 barrel for a flush fit with a Surefire can.

Not sure why, but it seems like some places don’t want to work on SCARs.

Mine is at ADCO right now for this exact thing.

I had them do a Lilja barrel for a 6.5 Grendel Mk12 Mod-H a few years back and it turned out great.

Now you tell me!

J/k I appreciate all the effort that goes into churning out the good work you do.

You don’t need to do that. I assumed there would be extra cost involved and the “contouring/thread” item from the shop services page was a starting point.

Small business is hard enough without having to take a loss in the name of customer satisfaction. The few times I’ve had work done by you over the years it’s always turned out great and was fairly priced. The only thing that would leave me dissatisfied at this point is if you were to decide to stop working on SCARs, making custom collars, contouring barrels, etc. because it isn’t worth it.

FACTS. I cut a 16s barrel down a few years ago The thread tool broke midway through a cut and got wedged into the thread and completely wrecked it. That was a new barrel for the customer. Fortunately, he was willing to trade me a NIB short barrel for that one. I was able to sleeve it for usable threads but wouldn't trust it for a suppressor mount. Sold it to a guy with full disclosure for $800. He was happy and I was ok with only losing $500 or so on the job.

Figured you all would be interested; May want to hit that notification as this looks like a limited run and would be prettty cool to have one in my opinion.

Centurion is also doing a MK-11 Gas Block…

AEM5-30k is in the house. Hopefully I’ll get to try it out in the next couple weeks.

were these originally designed for a mil contract? i don't see b&t putting in the r&d and tooling effort to make an spr pattern can just for the civ market.

Other thread says it was for a French MK12 variant.  I'd love to see what the variant is but nothing pops up anywhere.

Interesting for sure but I'd rather stick with the Allen Engineering design for the same money or less money.  Plus this is an Ops Inc/Allen Engineering thread.

If I were ordering a barrel that would be contoured for a AE shoulder for my AEM5 so I DON’T have to use a separate collar, would you all suggest a M24 contour?
MTU?
Ideas?

[Last Edit: Embittered] [#24]
M24 and MTU aren’t too different. Anything with around .850-.900” muzzle should work. You want at least 0.920” or more at the terminus of the 20° taper that starts 2.5” behind the muzzle crown.
