Won it at Rock Island and it’s a Rewat but very happy with it so far though yet to shoot it. Attached File Attached File I like weird guns and the whole double trigger thing, left side eject appealed to my like of strange. I picked up 10 40 round mags for it and was looking to get the correct sling for it. It has a strange way of mounting on the stock though. Where can I find the correct sling for it? Attached File Can’t wait to shoot it as they have a very good reputation but handles nicely so far. Any other spare parts I should be looking to get while I can? |

Very nice, OP. Arguably one of the best submachine guns of the 2nd WW. Is that the original buckle, or something someone added to the original sling bar? |

I have no idea, came on the gun and that’s part of what I’m trying to figure out  Between me and the guys I shoot machine gun shoots with we have WW2 sub guns pretty well covered. I have the Beretta, a PPSh and a Sten One buddy has an MP40, Thompson and a Sten Other buddy has an MP38 Another guy that doesn’t shoot with us as much now that there’s no Knob Creek has an M3 None of us are buying a Jap sub gun though |

When I was young there was a joke: My grandpa has a machinegun that he brought back from WWII and registered so it's legal. It's a Beretta Model 38 and it's in near perfect shape. Grandpa says it's in such a nice condition because it was never shot and only dropped once. But seriously, I've never shot or even seen one, but they have a good reputation for smooth, reliable operation. Enjoy many safe shooting times with yours! |
| Very nice OP! The Beretta 38 series are great smg's, IMO. I had a 38/42 at one time and I regret letting it go. The 38/42s are a lot more light and handy-feeling than 38a's. On the flip side 38a's seem to feel a little less bouncy in full auto (probably because they are a little heavier). Enjoy! |

My one friend had one, said he only had one mag for it, shot all the ammo he had for it and then sold the gun. One sold in May ‘24 at Morphy’s for $84K! I’m not normally a fan of Japanese guns but waiting on a transfer for a type 99 paratrooper. Only reason I bought it was it was converted to 308 so I don’t have to screw around with 7.7. That being said, I am still dealing with the spare parts and mag issues that Jap guns are known for

Parts and mags are always the issue. Things weren’t as hard when (RIP) Jim Langley was making quality reproductions, but here we are. |

The Beretta was an E-file Silencer Shop trust and took right at 31 days. I have had individual ones go through in like 2 days. I didn’t use my C&R on this one though maybe I should of but I don’t travel out of state with MGs anymore now that Knob Creek is no more |

Just because you didn’t use your license, doesn’t make it a non-C&R. |

Not only I'd see them in the hands of Carabinieri, but they were all over the place in movies and actual pictures of Italian forces in the 1940s I had a deactivated one I bought in Rome; I miss it... just gorgeous ETA SHIT I have PICTURES of my father serving in the Navy in Italy in the 1960s WITH IT.... he was a Navy officer. |

Hmm, waiting to hear from somebody who knows more but odd situation in that I as the C&R holder am also the trust grantor. Logically I would say that while the trust “owns” it I would be able to transport it across state lines without filling out a 5320 as the trustor and C&R holder? But what the hell do I know and of course logic doesn’t apply to the NFA so there’s that |

You and a trust are separate entities. If a trust owns something but you have a C&R, you have C&R abilities but your trust does not. I don’t believe ATF allows entities (LLC, Inc, and Trusts) to have C&R licenses. But with how they change policies at the drop of a hat, maybe they do (or did?). |

State law. 2) This prevents trusts in IL from owning an SBR. 3) Prior to Obama's signature gun regulation, to get a stamp w/o a trust or a corp, you had to get your CLEO's signature. 4) No CLEO in Chicago would sign a Form 1 or 4. 5) With Obama's changes, individuals no longer need a CLEO signature to get stamps. Ergo, SBRs are now possible in Chicago. Thanks Obama? |
