| We gotta sticky a thread like this up here! I'll post a few of my own on Saturday. If you have videos of yourself shooting your M14 or M1 and have no where to host them please e-mail them to me at [email protected] and inform me through PM that you sent it! |

This does not do the M-14 justice. I was there. It was 10 times less than the M-4. |

I have a pet peave loading mags with my right hand......

I would hate to foul the discarded mags. I would especially hate to plug the barrel and then attempt to send a round through it. Dropping the muzzle to the ground is a habit that you must break. If you want to spray and pray, use the Krinkov. The M1A is way too nice of a battle implement for that.

H20_man: What was going on with the short strokes after the first few went downrange? Just curious. It was a really nice straight pull bolt action after the first few...

Silencer ammunition is sub-sonic meaning low velocity. There isn't enough grain to push the bolt all the way back so it has to be manually cycled. |

Correct Hemi-Cuda! Ron Smith told me of a DIY mod to the gas port that will allow some sub sonic ammo to cycle the action, but I'm not going to perform the mod because I'm not going to shoot much sub sonic ammo. |

| My video was the M-14 vs M4 and just to let everyone know the sound difference is much greater than how it sounds. I was shooting the video with my crappy camera I happened to have at the range. The gun sounds about equal to a .22 short with federal match ammo. |
