In the late 80s or early 90s, Knights had a prototype M16 with a short 10”ish barrel and a short moderator that had an integral flash hider at the muzzle, chopped pistol grip, and iirc a collapsible stock that was shortened. I used to have photos of it on an old laptop. I believe @coldblue shared photos in the past. Does this ring a bell for anyone? Any photos? Paging @jackleuba @coldblue |

The whole concept was wildly ahead of its time. I managed to acquire detailed reference photos from one of the surviving originals and the work done is just... mindblowingly intricate. I may dust off the project at some point especially now that Form 1 cans are free again, but the stock proved to be a really tough nut to crack and I don't have KAC's engineering budget (or even any skills aside from crude modeling). |
