I’ve got the inside part on the frame installed. My understanding is that you are supposed to separate the door from the outer frame, then hang the frame. My question is how do you separate them? The door weighs 600ish lbs. This is an out swing door and it’s laying on its back. It seems like I need to stand it upside down, then open the door. Does anyone have experience with this? Any advice? |
| Not sure if anyone is interested but I got them separated. I winched the door open, then wrapped the door in two large straps and lifted it with a cherry picker. The frame was hanging, so I tapped the hinges with a mallet until it let go. Now both frames are installed. Getting the door mounted is going to be the next job. |
