I bought a RAID XE in April and was using the soft cover. I decided to install the hard visor and with the pivot posts on the RAID it is very difficult to get the hard visor on and once on it's impossible to move it up or down. Verified that all the hardware is lined up properly. Contacted Wilcox and they sent a replacement visor and mounting hardware and it's the same. Does anyone have this working and if so were there any tricks to getting it to work? The only thing I can come up with at this point is either it's a poor design or my particular laser has the indents for the cap head bolts set to close to the laser body, the pivot posts aren't recessed enough and this is causing the visor to be too tight and bind up. If the hard visor worked I would prefer it as it is easier for me to manipulate it when wearing gloves. Thanks. |
