Looking at picking up a Randall and struggling to decide here. Knife will be a user so the 5” is honestly more practical, not to mention I’ve got a Chris Reeve Pacific which..actually it’s a 6” blade. Thought it was 7”. Ok so that 14 is pretty dang big at 7.5”. Also torn on the handle, finger groves or no finger groves? Leather or mica? Usage will constitute outdoors type stuff and pretending I’m Arthur Morgan. |

I have had both and I prefer the Model 15 as it is easier to carry. I’ve tried the full finger grip, Border Patrol style and the single finger grip handles. Out of the three. I like the single finger grip the best.

When you ordered it with a single hilt did you request the jimping or do single hilts come as such? A little late at this point for me to request alterations though! Edit: I ask as a post of a couple years ago says they automatically included it on #15 with single hilts but know idea. |
