Looking at picking up a Randall and struggling to decide here.
Knife will be a user so the 5” is honestly more practical, not to mention I’ve got a Chris Reeve Pacific which..actually it’s a 6” blade. Thought it was 7”. Ok so that 14 is pretty dang big at 7.5”. Also torn on the handle, finger groves or no finger groves? Leather or mica? Usage will constitute outdoors type stuff and pretending I’m Arthur Morgan. |

you have to order a model 15, sawteeth grind, NO SAWTEETH, single guard with thumb jimping and a border patrol handle...whew!  " />

I wanted the bigger blade of the 14 but the profile of the Diver. Mine has the nickel silver single guard with thumb notches and Border Patrol grip w/black micarta. It's a beast of a knife! |

I have had both and I prefer the Model 15 as it is easier to carry. I’ve tried the full finger grip, Border Patrol style and the single finger grip handles. Out of the three. I like the single finger grip the best.
