Anyone recommend someone who can do this for a reasonable price? Im thinking of getting an ap53 and doing this. Really want a 33k clone. Eta - would probably have to do the cocking handle too and that might get beyond the point. |

I will echo what others have stated, there is really no practical way to rebarrel a 53 into a 33K. Swapping the barrel is the least of your problems. The cocking tube is going to be different and the receiver itself if actually different as its cut to accept the "nested into the receiver" 53 length cocking tube. So you would have to cut the 53 cocking tube out of the receiver, weld up part of a demilled receiver to close the big gap in the front of the receiver, then add a 33K cocking tube and all of the cocking tube support and parts. The bolt carrier, recoil rod, and locking piece is also different, so you would need a new bolt carrier, recoil rod, as well as as new locking piece. Its going to be infinitely easier to buy or build a 33K from scratch than to try and "stretch" a 53 into a 33K. |

They scare the Democrats and RINO Republicans and their supporters.
