These are designed to be the shortest HUB compatible mounting system available.
The system is Plan B compatible (Q, Rearden, ect.) and designed to work with with the most common AR15 barrel/handguard combinations in current use. The flash hider is recessed over the barrel to minimize OAL and the gap between the handguard and silencer. We are currently running these in 1/2x28 and 5/8x24 with heat treated or black nitride finishes. Here is the Night Howler with LP HUB Adapter:  Here is the Recessed Night Howler:  Here is the gap left with the Recessed Night Howler and LP HUB Adapter:  This is shown on a 16" barrel with a 15" handguard. The barrel must be a minimum of 1" (ideal length differential) longer than the handguard for clearance. Also, it will not work with gas block journals larger than 0.750" |

 What is the measurement on that gap? I've got a 7.94" barrel on the way for a 7" rail...
