just curious if anyone has done this...Ruger/Marlin lists front sight #68026 on their 'shopMarlin' web store but I cannot tell if it fits the new 1894. I've read about issues with 1" vs 0.7" hole spacing. The Trapper front sight is 1"... Also, if i do replace the front with this HiViz model, must I also replace the rear peep from Skinner to 'HiViz' model #68025 as well? Inputs would be appreciated. I really like the SBL sights over the Skinner version that came with my Trapper...they just work better for my eyes. Thx dh |

I can’t answer your question, but I’ve dealt with Marlin recently and they were great to deal with. Reach out to them here Marlin Customer Service and I’m sure they can tell you if it would work or what would need to be done. |

| When I purchased my Ruglin, 45-70 I wasn't happy with the ghost rear sight and wanted to change to skinner, but I never could get an answer about the thread compatibility. I scoped mine so my irons went on the back burner. Tag for information on the sights. |

The new Dark/Trapper/SBL should all have the 1.00" spacing, per XS sights. On the new Ruger made Marlin Ruger has changed the front sight screw spacing from .700” to 1.00 on 3 of their 4 versions of the 336/1894. The SBL/Dark/Trapper series these all now have 1.00” front sight screw spacing. |
