Rethreading a muzzle device

Is it possible to drill out a 1/2x28 threaded muzzle device and rethread it 14x1mm LH to fit an AK muzzle? The manufacturer doesn't make a 14x1 mount for my suppressor and I'm wary of adapters.

You have about .05 to play with so it should work fine

I'm seeing a surgeon on the 3rd, if I heal up quickly I'm happy to assist
