Hey all,
I’ve had my RNVG’s about 3 years now, and while I love them, I’ve had some issues. Almost immediately, I would lose power to the right tube upon moving my head, and it required a hard reset to get it back on, but would turn off again the next time I moved my head. Additionally, I had a nearly impossible time getting the IPD correct due to the shortness of the dovetail/bridge. I eventually had the bridge replaced through warranty (From AB who has been PHENOMENAL to work with, along with the builder I purchased the unit from).

Recently, I ran into the same problem where the left tube now would lose power if moved or shaken too much. In response to this, I reached back out to the builder to see if I had any options. They offered to swap the housing for me again, or let me upgrade to the new ARNVG housing, paying the difference.

I’m thinking the ARNVG would solve nearly every issue I’ve had with the original design, but am wondering if anyone’s put hands on them and has some insight into the unit and its capabilities?

Any input is greatly appreciated!

If you like the fixed bridge, you'll really like the Articulating model.

Only negative is the battery compartment faces the back (towards your face) versus outward. But I don't think that's much of an issue.

They are also some of the most solid articulating pods- you will definitely not have any problems with floppy pods.

Thanks! It actually ended up being the contact strip on the bottom losing contact with the pod somehow. I’m REALLY hoping that it’s not anything to do with the tubes, as it’ll be my same tubes in the new housing, lol. Hoping to come see you from Atlanta sometime this year. I’ve got shoulder surgery in September, so it may be next year, but I’ll get back down there!

I went from rnvg to arnvg. My only complaint is the location of the push buttons. Otherwise its excellent. It doesn't need ipd stops either.
