| I have saw the Wilson/Lancer modified 300blk magazines but has anyone used or found any polymer AR mags for the American 350L? The regular metal mags by CMMG and Duramag are not smooth at all and in the stand the sound magnifies 10x . I’m gonna try a Wilson/Lancer if they have them in stock. |
| Magpul mags can be modified by removing the inner rib near the front of the magazine. They hold 19 round if made from a 20rd magazine. They sit quieter in the firearm and there is no wobble to them compared to the Duramag 20 rounders. I haven't try to do it with a 10rd mag yet but will in the future. Sanding with sandpaper is quicker that filing. I just wrapped a file with 60 grit and finished it with a finer grit. Oil rubbed afterwards for final finish. |

Oil rubbed afterwards for final finish. 10 rd PMag with the ribs ground out holds 8, 9 if you don't care about seating on a closed bolt, if I remember correctly. I am using them in an AR in a state with 5 rd mag limit for semi-autos for hunting so that's what I was working towards. With the -5 limiter, they'll take 5 with absolutely no room left and are best treated as 4 rd mags. Much less noise, and no sharp edges or corners is a huge advantage. |

I prefer my modified P mags over the steel ones. Much quieter for hunting. You will still have to modify a lancer mag same process as a Pmag to get rid of the ribs. I think where there is some confusion is that Lancer mags worked without modifications for the 450 BM, not the 350. |
