I have a Ruger American 5.56. I noticed the the bolt release pin sticking way out of reciever, touching the stock actually. It seems to be a really loose fit. I used a punch and put it back in as far as it would go. I've only had this rifle for a little while and have yet to get it to the range. I searched online but only found this issue mentioned once or twice without much detail. Anyone experienced this issue. Thanks in advance. |

Another question. I meant to ask this the other day and forgot. The magpul installation instructions state 60-80 inch pounds for the two action screws. I went with 70, right in the middle. Is there an advantage to going lighter or heavier with a rifle like this? I know rimfire shooters use the torque on those screws to "tune" their rifles trying to wring the most accuracy out if them. Obviously this rifle isn't match grade but as lousy of a shot as I am I'll look for any advantage I can  Thanks |
