Seekins 8" 1/7 twist barrel, Spikes 7"BAR rail, Spikes upper, ASR mount.  Spikes Crusader lower that just cleared efile with a Geissele SDC.

Here she is with an Omega:

Started life as a Spikes Compressor clone but I ended up putting a 7" rail on instead of the 9"  I like being able to use the ASR mount vs. direct thread.  A little longer with the can on but I feel it's more flexible.  Balances really well with the Omega.  It's a little front heavy if I put the Saker on.

When worn, you can pull a tab and bring it up front and then deploy the gun. The bag acts as a sling for the gun too. I modified it with a blackhawk detachable buckle.

Man, those PDW style stocks are just the bees knees! They really transform the rifle to more of a compact sub machine-gun look and really make sense on an SBR.

He was asking about the Streamlight TLR-1 flashlight with the Surefire filter on it.  I'm curious too.  I have a Surefire FM35 red filter and it won't fit on my TLR-1 so I'm also curious how you made that work.

i read T-1. my bad!

its some 6p sized streamlight  IR filter from the arms room that i had stashed away in my toughbox for years. its just some electrical tape to make the TLR OD larger so the cap slips on and then flip the latch and bam IR tlr. just a lil trick i did about 2 years ago. even fit on my 1911 like this.

Nice! How is the throw on it? I had been thinking of getting a filter for my TLR1 since streamlight has some out now, but was concerned about its effectiveness with the LED light after talking with a member here.

the TLR can get me to 100yds at night with white light. i honestly cant remember the last time i had nods around to check IR throw. a buddy had 14's before and we messed around with it. i really like TLR's cone for shooting with white light tho. this is not even the HL one. Just check heat on the end. should be fine.

Did you paint your can in that pattern, or is that how the paint has discolored with the heat?  I'm thinking of painting my YHM, but was a little concerned if the paint would discolor (which is ok) or burn off all together and defeat the purpose.

Did you paint your can in that pattern, or is that how the paint has discolored with the heat?  I'm thinking of painting my YHM, but was a little concerned if the paint would discolor (which is ok) or burn off all together and defeat the purpose.

no paint on it, it's the factory FDE. i was letting several friends shoot it one day, it got really hot, and has looked like this ever since.
