Is that a felt pad on your brass deflector? Won't that rob the ejecting brass of energy and reduce its effectiveness?

My new SBR:

Lower is from a Colt 6920

Upper is a build from Andro Corp, he does a lot in the SBR Equipment Exchange.
-AO Precision Upper
-AO Precision BCG
-Ballistic Advantage Barrel 1:7 4150 QPQ
-SLR 10" Intrepid MLock handguard
-Silencerco brake w/ a Specwar 556
-Eotech 517 ( I plan to put a 1-4x24 AR optic on it)

Decided to swap rails on my Seekins combat upper and my DSG black friday 10 inch upper.  Ended up turning out perfect on my Seekins upper.  The 10 inch rail along with AAC 51t brakeout 2.0 fits flush. Fitment is even closer than my 9 inch AAC upper with KAC URX 4 rail.

Here's what the radial fluting looks like without handguards:

here it is with SDN6 mounted:

close up:

doesn't get much closer than that.

Here's the AAC's fitment:

this is with an upgraded URX4

It looks shorter in the pic for some reason but it's actually a 556RC.  I do plan on getting a mini for this ar and running the RC on a 10.3.  There is little if any blowback with this setup.  It has a H buffer now but I'm going to see if an H2 buffer will improve anything.  It shoots really nice as is.

My newest short upper...BCM 11.5" ELW.  I think I'm starting to turn into a weight weenie, I'm really liking these ELW barrels in combination with the KMR handguards.  This may replace my beloved MRP CQB as my go to setup.
