Bad news, Keymod fans. I decided to let my 10.5" play in the snow. Before I knew it, this light-duty, useless handguard with its stupid holes and its garbage magnesium alloy got cold. I heard a pop, a crack, and all of a sudden my whole rifle just blew apart. Vaporized into thin air. It took my SDN-6 with it, probably because of that worthless 51T mount. Naturally, my T1 was fine. I found it in a tree 20 yards away.

This is all that remains.

It is a Tab Gear, I'm waiting on one from FTW that's more suited for AR use.

Thanks, we don't get much snow here so I have to enjoy it when I can. I'm so glad I switched from the Alpha to the KMR, it seems like every ounce the rifle loses just makes it that much better.

Abreon Custom, but it was actually a mistake in the dye process. I elected to keep it instead of having another one done. I like the tattered look.

My newest SBR build. 300 blkout 8" barrel on mostly YHM parts (upper, lower billet, and key mod handguard). Barrel is Aero precision with spikes battle trigger and KNS parts. I am waiting for a Syrac Ordnance piston to replace the DI I currently have on it. The tax stamp on this one took 34 days with my trust. My YHM suppressor and full fire control markings for effect.

The new stock meant the removal of my Magpul ASAP, so now I'm trying to come up with what my new sling attachment system will be. I wish NEA had put a loop or a QD attachment on the CCS.

I've always wanted to ask someone who owns one of those stocks about them.
How solid a stock is it?
I mean, does it lock up fairly positively? Any wobble, jiggle or anything that comes across as being flimsy or anything less than a good solid stock that isn't going to fail you when needed
It's a lot of coin for one so I figured I'd ask......

Your version is a vast improvement on the DD stock rifle. I definitely could not live with the stock. Now, you just need to hit it with some Aervoe to get rid of the logos on the left side of the rifle.

Thanks Rothbard, I appreciate it! I felt like these upgrades truly did improve it both functionally and aesthetically. Fit and feel is awesome when I shoulder this gun now - I really love it. I'll have to check out Aervoe because I do want to get rid of those factory markings. Will it impact the black finish as well?

Aervoe is a paint that I find to work extremely well. Not a great job, but here is one I did a while back.
