When did you order the upper?  I ordered one Jan 14th and am being told the 10.5 barrels won't be in until the end of the month...

Heres my latest SBR I built using parts from Spikes Tactical.

I used the following-

Spike's Biohazard billet upper/lower
7.5" Walther Lothar barrel
Spikes rail
Magpul stock
Timney trigger
STAB muzzle break

Heres a few pics-

Heres a few Iphone pics with EOLAD and AFG installed.

This one has definately turned out to my favorite build so far and the gun handles/fires great.

I came across the same issue and ended up going with the YHM QD Mount/Brake.  But in all seriousness the Phantoms are tougher than crap.
A friend of mine has over 12K rounds through his running mostly full auto on a 10.5" and 7.5" uppers with the standard flashhider QD mount, he has never had any problems with it, and the suppressor is still running flawlessly.
You will not have any problem running that can on a 10.5" upper, especially on semi auto.

Here is my 10.5 Noveske CQB with YHM QD/Brake

[Last Edit: Andrapos] [#26]
I scored a complete flattop 11.5" 5.56 for $275 (never fired, unknown mfg) with bolt/carrier and MI backup sight so I promptly removed the A1 upper and swapped the new one on my preban PWA.  I then removed the FH on the 11.5 A1 and pinned/welded on a brake and cut ears off the bayonet lug to make it CT ban compliant for my Stag (postban) SBR.

I still need a better stock for the PWA, and I am toying with the idea of triangular hand-guards on the Stag for the retro look.

Work in progress:

I think you'll really like the shorty triangle hand guards, I know I do!

Thanks!  The only other pics I have on hand (at work) are below, and with the A1 mounted on the other lower, but I'll try and snap some more pics tonight.  I dig the looks with the entry/shorty stock on this gun, which is why I'm thinking of the triangular handguards.

I bought them a few years ago off the EE from a member who made them in his spare time. I believe PK firearms is selling copies for around $30 a set. The PK ones are nice because they fit into a standard delta ring and you don't need the special rear hand guard cap.

Am I a giant dork for knowing exactly where the reference comes from?
