Blems were FDE SCARs which did not have the cutting oil thoroughly removed prior to anodizing. As a result, the coloration was off, especially around the screws. They were sold at a discount at most dealers since FN released the guns anyways. As far as I have seen, there are no "blemished" black SCARs.
I think you would have a hard time finding a brand new blemished SCAR from a dealer at this point as they probably have been purchased. In terms of the Sig 556; I sold my SWAT to fund the SCAR and haven't looked back. SCARs definitely balance better for me. Originally Posted By Chippinslag:

ETA: How do you like the Burris & what mount is that? Both optic and SCAR are new and I have yet to shoot them. I am getting used to the reticle each time I eyeball it as it is kind of busy from what i'm used to. The mount is an ADM that was anodized fde for Noveske. Cheers |

What did you use to paint the plastic components of your Scar? How is it holding up versus on the metal? I've thought about spraying mine with Norrell's, but have been SCARed (yuck, yuck) by all the plastic... I've been waiting to put a good picture up here that I haven't posted elsewhere, but the call has gone out for 17's so... Mine:
