I have a set of trijicon 30mm steel rings. Can I mount a high quality 30mm scope on my scar and expect it to survive with just rings or does it have to be mounted in a mount? Will I be able to achieve proper cheek weld? |

If the rings are just on the rear end of the receiver where it is the stiffest - you might be ok. I was told by Trijicon a few years ago the issues happen when you go too far forward where there is flexing of the upper receiver. I run solid mounts on my SCARS. Right side QD to clear the charging handle. |
