I have a fully welded McKay Uzi reciever that I've had in the safe for 2 or 3 years. Finally decided to build up an Uzi fun gun. What are the go to sources for semi auto parts? I already have an excellent condition folding stock and a nice top cover. May have to bite the bullet on the McKay semi auto bolt/firing pin/recoil spring combo for $500. Filed the Form 1 to SBR it last week. My other $0 Form 1's took 2 months to get back. So I figure i have a little time. |

Uzitalk with a WTB although it is primarily a MG board semi parts do pop up. Us barrel shrouds has stuff come in and out of stock and it goes quick be it semi or FA. They also get rare stuff for the uzi I swear they have a connection to IMI/IWI over there. I grabbed a few threaded barrels for my micro and pro a few years back. Also got in on the rare full size stocks before they went OOS and the IDF tan padded slings. Other then the above two sites GB and WTB on forums. Most of the uzi stuff has long been grabbed up by people that collect or guys with transferables. Bit up Vector on uzitalk they are under new owners and don't really list stuff for sale but a email will get you parts if they have them. They have been great so far with resopnses and email sales. McKay might be your only bet for a buy right now semi bolt if they have it in stock. Just be leary of them. I have nothing good to say about them or their products. |

Any UC9 stuff made by CAI is not compatible with the rest of the IMI/IWI family. It only fits UC9 parts and receivers. Keep that in mind when sourcing parts. Have you tried to convert a FA bolt to semi? There are also striker plans to make those too? The bolt can be tough 50 cal depending on tools and skill set. I have two I parially did but lost intrest in building parts kits when I stepped into my transferable for a song. I don't have any completed ones and no ambition to finish them. |
