What are my options to use it as a stand alone launcher? The ONLY thing available I see online is from “FAB defense” and frankly, it looks like plastic junk. Any suggestions???? Thanks in advance for the link to a crazy deal

You have several options. I hear the FAB defense one is good, but it requires partially disassembling the M203. It is probably one of the cheapest options. LMT makes a stand alone frame. 2 versions, one for standard mount and one for rail mount. Availability varies. This is what I use. Colt and KAC also made stand alone frames of various styles, but those are going to be extremely high priced as they are mainly for collectors nowadays.  I replaced the stopmod with a side folding Sig Stock. |

Was looking for an LMT but they seem to be out of stock everywhere. Interesting comments about FAB. Maybe I misjudged my first impressions. Are they made of all plastic? |

Thanks for all the responses. Good stuff! MY M203 will come with the classic under barrel mount for M4. Will the FAB Defense product work with that? Will the LMT? From what I’m reading, the LMT won’t work with the Colt under barrel mount. |

Mine is a 9” barrel with the M4 upper handguard, in the box. I’m guessing it will NOT work with the LMT standalone stock and its picatinny design. |

LMT offers another standalone for their M203-2003, which is their version of the M203 which clamps directly onto Picatinny rails (but doesn't mount to barrels like a USGI M203 does). Beautiful women are optional, but highly recommended.

They look so good in the FD-203 with a 9" barrel. I cut the trigger guard off my FD-203 and created a little pocket for the factory M203 trigger guard to rest in. Makes swapping them around at the range possible. But I still rarely swap them. |
| Last I saw the Fab versions work with the barrel mount. I have a pic mount and I went with a pace defense frame, and put a JMAC folding stock on it. |

Thanks all. I went ahead and ordered the FAB Defense offering as no one has an LMT, in stock, that will work with my M4 underbarrel mount M203. I called OTB and asked. Maybe at some point in the future they will be available again but since it’s such a niche market, it’s doubtful. The more I research the FAB, the more glowing reports I read and it does have a cool factor to it Thanks again for all the responses. Outside of GD, ARFCOM is just the best place for good advice. |
