They absolutely are. It's an unlegislated mandatory waiting period for under 21 buyers. And I had 1 where they gave me a date, then on that day the fuckers called me and extended it again. The young man said in the future he'd be having his Dad do the 4473s It's all part of the Biden war on conservatives and gun rights. Same with the Biden war on FFLs. They've forced thousands of FFLs out of business already for minor paperwork mistakes. |

Had been turning under 21s away as I had no way for them to pick up the gun until I added enough DFW gunshows they can pick up at. |

Pretty ironic. I work with a eighteen year old at a FFL. She is in delay for a long gun purchase. Her family shoots, she has access to firearms at home not to mention at work but she’s not trusted to purchase one without going into delay status. At present she is able to buy via private purchase (until next year when our new laws go into effect here) a long gun or a handgun without a NICS check. |

In Texas, 18 year olds can: Purchase handguns from private parties; Carry loaded handguns, concealed or openly everywhere about the state except into liquor stores, courthouses, college campuses, schools, & sporting events; Buy handgun ammunition for a rifle; Get a Texas LTC, which exempts them from NICS, and permits them to carry handguns into liquor stores & college campuses. They can't: Buy ammunition for such handguns from a retailer. Purchase a handgun from an FFL. |
