I modeled this ACR stock adapter for the ACR stock. What you guys think? Getting one 3D printed.

That looks really good. Honestly it’s about impossible to do one outside of Dans design. It follows the factory lines so you really can’t do anything unless you go way out of left field to get something that isn’t similar. That’s the only reason I haven’t released my tailhook adapter. |

I actually contacted Dan with this idea as an update to his design. He wasn't interested in doing it so that was the major reason I decided to model it myself. In my opinion I think my design looks much better, but I cannot claim to be impartial can I. HAHA! It brings the brace up as far up as it can go, which makes the rear surface and overall profile more less the same size as the original stock. As I said before I have no interest in marketing this but there are multiple manufacturers, large and small, marketing Tailhook brace adapters for the Zhukov stock so I ask why couldn't someone else market an ACR adapter without someone saying they are ripping off another design. I was not happy with Dan's design so I decided to make one myself to my liking. I do not see a problem with that and I would not see a problem if another company marketed a ACR brace adapter. Competition drives prices down, which is better for the consumer. |
| Mine looks like the factory adapter but able to be cnc machined. I put some windows into the adapter to help knock the weight down while keeping enough there to make it rigid still. If I can ever finish the lower project I’m working on, I’ll make a prototype brace adapter. I actually need one for myself as well. My main test Acr is a QD build with a brace. My non QD pistol doesn’t have a brace at all yet. (Or a lower either) |
