ETA - a better picture and I put a youth stock on. Took two inches off LOP. I still need a set of 8" rods for the Salvo. At 12" it's stupid long on a 12.5" barrel.

Anyways got my barrel back, and fired a few rounds of birdshot. Not sure what I was expecting it but somewhere between unsuppressed 22lr, although less sharp sounding but still loudish, and suppressed 556. Need some more time on it but I’d hunt without ears with it I think. Attached File |

Where are you guys getting your barrels threaded at? I need to get a couple SBS barrels and a Benelli m4 threaded for chokes for my can. Was thinking brileys. Anyways, finally got the salvo. Posted in here back in 2016 about wanting to get one and I finally did. Attached File |

Rex Seg-12 on a Genesis 10.5 SBS. Great fun. Not sure what I expected though as far as noise. It's much quieter than unsuppressed, but still gets uncomfortable pretty quick without earpro Attached File |

This is pretty much where I'm at too. I've had a Salvo since they first came out. Mediocre suppression, and huge and heavy. There's no point at all in a short configuration and the full size Salvo on a 28" barrel is absurd, I tried it hunting a few years in a row. On a 12 or 14" pump with subsonic loads, however, it's a lot of fun. If we could get shotgun manufacturers on board to start offering hunting guns in shorter 18.5-20 inch guns, it'd be a totally different story to me. An 18" Beretta A400 with a suppressor and cut for a dot would be my choice duck gun. |
