Tactical Walls 1242 RFID Failure - Need Help

Anyone here have an RFID lock fail on a Tactical Walls shelf?

The RFID reader stopped working and I'm struggling to figure out how to open the thing. It's not dead or dying batteries, neither lock responds when passing the RFID card over the lock area.

Tactical Walls offered a one page document that essentially said "stick a hook in the seam and yank down on the tray until the lock breaks".

If that's the solution, so be it, but would like to see if anyone else has solved this unexpected problem.

Tried pushing up on the bottom to relieve pressure on the latch?

Got a strong magnet to see if you can overpower the solenoid? (dunno which direction though)

Thanks for the replies, think I’m gonna ditch it and go with something much smaller and closer to the bed.

Will take it off the wall and tear it open, there are better options on the market.
