| I'm considering a Marlin 1894 Dark in .357 Magnum and was thinking that maybe swapping out the factory stock for the Magpul ELG would balance out the rifle a little better. Does anyone have any experience with the stock? |

I have one on my 45-70 trapper, the model that came with the Magpul furniture, and I really like it. So much I want to set my 44 trapper up the same way. Very comfortable and I like the lighter weight. The internal compartment is nice also. I hear the new fore ends come with spacers for the pistol caliber rifles now. Perhaps not the most traditional look, but for a hard use hunting rifle I really dig it. It saves a few ounces and you can easily customize the fit for length and scope/rds height. |
