 Good idea. Here is my best setup so far. -L6 upper kit -BCA 12.5" barrel (modded) -Tacfun-usa quadrail handguard w/hotpocket -Exigent Defense streetgoblin556 can -Hydra lower w/ dremelsmith front half -KAK A5 buffer tube -KAK m16 trigger and CTG Auto Sear -Bushnell red dot (temporary) -Amazon/ebay side mount bipod I have some other parts that may make an appearance in the future. Like an aero enhanced handguard that would fit the upcoming piston conversion. And I may put a higher backpressure OCL polo-k suppressor on it if it needs it. But right now, its pretty nice! |

Attached File Replaced the L6 18” barrel with a KAK 12.5”. I ordered the barrel from KAK, so I sent it in to L6 to have the gas port opened up to run without a suppressor and machined for pinning a Rifle Speed block. Using the L6, 10” MI hand guard. |

It's a heat shield over the gas tube so I don't burn my fingers. I shoot left handed. The hand guard is a Midwest Industries "SP". The gas tube was sitting tight up against the inside of the hand guard, so I machined a clearance slot for it, then put the cover over the top. I'm not a fan of quad rail hand guards. Tony  |

Not a full Lima Six, but... What are your guys thoughts on this furniture retrofit? https://imgur.com/a/QBv2Kfm The handguard houses the folded Versa-Pod bipod 9-12" ski feet model Off-the-shelf parts: - Versa-Pod Bipod 9-12" Ski-feet model - PRI fixed front sight - Airsoft-grade steel M249 rear sight (if I had a surplus one I'd verify fitment but this airsoft one actually feels pretty solid) Custom Parts - Carry handle and mount with spring-loaded detent - Upper glass-filled nylon handguard cover (fits Midwest Industries Combat Quad-Rail) - Lower glass-filled nylon handguard cover - SAW style AR-15 grip w/ storage - M249 Clubfoot fixed stock for a Rifle-length buffer (uses an internal spacer to bring to A5 operating system length) - Rear sight adapter for the above rear sight (brings rear sight height to ~1.60 so it "should" work) - adapter for the Versa-Pod bipod (their pic adapter is super clunky) Going to be working on a Mk46 style lower handguard for more compatibilty with VFGs and bipods |

Only thing that jumped out at me was how the front end of the buttstock sits above the receiver. Looks like it would snag on things or a be jab you. If it was curved down to flow in the rear of the receiver, I’d say A+, but even how it is, I’d probably be tempted to buy one. |

If you're going for that M249 "look", it's great and what most guys want. But if you like to shoot your gun offhand like I do, the M249 hand guard sucks dick. It's like holding on to a four by four block. I got rid of it and lost the extra weight of the bipod as well. Tony  |

Attached File First chance I have had to fire it. 200 rd semi break in went perfect. Swapped over buffer and spring and fired another 198 rds of Win M193 in semi,FRT, unsuppressed and suppressed. 6 Ftfire when suppressed, gas position six. I will give a good cleaning and then run a variety of different ammo through it. Factory upper on Hydra lower with Dremelsmith adapter. Geissele blem SSA-E with Arc fire V2 0-45-90. Replaced the L6 marked bolt with a Lima 6 marked one from my build kit and need to get a different mount for the Acog as this one doesn't tighten down sufficiently. Build kit will be a 10.3" on an Inoculum lower with a Tisha dedicated to it. Looking forward to getting all the finishing touches for it. |

I was out to the range with mine the other day and my right shoulder got pretty well battered. This was a first time out and the upper functioned fine, but I'm sure I have some tuning to do. |
