I've had three Form 1s approved during Obama's 2.0 days, never built because the supplies all dried up. Will parts start moving again Jan 1? |

If you mean the kits and parts that were made mainly to be used for making DIY cans, nothing is changing there and they're not coming back with the changes. ATF will still probably continue with how they have for the past several years, requiring new approvals for Form 1 cans to be made from "raw parts". The only change happening is now there is no $200 tax to pay. Since you have the approved forms in hand, you can make them however you want, but because of ATF's crackdown on places selling kits and parts marketed to making it simpler to complete a DIY can, you won't find any reputable places selling that sort of thing any time soon. |

I'm sure there's some out there doing it but much more on the down-low. |

Over the last couple years we have had folks pop up and the first question is about how to get around the law and buy stuff "The Man" doesn't want you to have. The easy button for baffles are Valve Spring retainers. These fit without modification. They are high grade Titanium and used in alcohol drag cars, you can find used ones on eBay at times. A washer wouldn't fit said definition. ATF also put out an open letter (maybe in '23) covering solvent traps. |

The way I understood it, anything you intend to use as a suppressor part, is a suppressor part. It was an overly broad, vague & ridiculous statement. 1 option you have, buy a tube & end caps, engrave it, fill it with gravel, pennys etc, drill a tiny hole in the end cap, call it a suppressor then send it off to a machinist who specializes in F1's & have it entirely record to your specs. |

This is (w/o trying to sound like an AH) poor advice. As far as what is or isn't a silencer, read my post above. You don't need to put anything inside a tube to make it a silencer. |
