I have enough surplus FAL mags, but, if it means anything, their M1 Carbine mags are great.

I bought four, they don't feed that well, but my FAL didn't like the DSA factory mags until I sent it and the mags back.

For $35 a pop, I'd keep looking for people offloading surplus ones.

A few guys at the Files have them and sing nothing but praises. I think one guy had one that was either hard to insert or wouldn't drop free but it worked and the rest that he had were G2G.

If a 147 grn 9mm at 1000 FPS is the hammer of Thor then a 165 grn. 40 at 1200 fps must a lightening bolt from Zeus!

I take it these are different from the Korean ones sold in the past that people said were crap?

If these are the same ones from Korea, it is a hit and miss.

I purchased two FAL metric mags from a gun store in SLC not knowing that the mags I got where the Korean mags. At that time, trying to find metric FAL mags that were reasonable was not an ideal goal I set for myself. I just wanted more mags for the time being.

The few problems i had with the mags that those mags were really tight in the magwell and the springs were a bit weird. I stretched the mag springs a bit and keep working the mags in to break them into the magwell fit.

So, United Defense (UDMC) was importing what stock was left of those South Korean KCI steel mags into the country (same one I had sent you to shoot a little while back), to my understanding these are new manufactured ones from the Philippines that KS has in stock now, seems like they bought the tooling from KCI to make them."

Might be good news if true.
