Looking to go with a new setup, options im considering are all from dead air and are the Sierra 5 CT5P Lazarus 6 I’m going with xeno and they will be run on 11.5 5.56 AR and 16” 5.56 AR Looking for flash reduction and not necessarily the quietest sound, and low back pressure |

I believe that I've heard the Dead Air guys mention the CT5P is slightly better at flash reduction then the lazurus, while being decent on backpressure still. I have both the sierra 5, and laz 6. The sierra 5 is a bit punchy on a shorter host vs the lazurus. I haven't gotten the chance to shoot both at night though to comment on flash reduction with them. If the hub capability isn't important I'd probably go with the CT5P |

| Sierra came out in 2022 and was the last of the DA welded baffle designs. The 3D print/ low back pressure revolution started in 2023. Lazarus is 1st gen 3D print, CT5P is maybe v1.2, lighter but locks you into Xeno mount. If you know you want Xeno then I might pick CT5P over Lazarus, but mostly they are the same design. |

No the hux has way more flash and spark. Sometimes my brain outruns my fingers when I type. I really like the Xeno mount with the laz 6. No timing issues and it has been solid. I run my laz 6 on my Mk18 clone and its been really solid. |
