Went gun shop hopping with a buddy today after going to the range. One shop had an Armscorp M14 on consignment for $1400. It had a GI M2 bipod on it and came with 2 GI magazines. One BRW and the other OM marked. I looked it over and thought it looked pretty good. I wasn't in the market for one since I already have a Springfield M1A loaded model that I am pretty happy with. But these Armscorp are supposed to have forged receivers and it looks like TRW bolt and barrel. I asked if they would take $1200. They texted the guy the offer and I waited for a while. No word. My buddy and I decide to go to the next shop and I tell them to call me when they hear back from the guy. We get to the shop and not one minute after stepping in the door, the last shop calls me and says the guy accepted my offer. So back we go. I get it, and take it to my buddy's place to check the TE and ME on his gauges. The TE shows 0. Almost a hair under 0. ME shows between 0 and 1 but closer to the zero. We call it .5 I get it home and check it over more thoroughly. Trigger group and hammer bother marked TRW as well. Op rod is marked TRW too. Awesome. National match rear sight aperture with hood. Front sight seems NM marked as well. Stock also has the wood hand guard and a base for the rifle grenade sight on the side of the stock. Looks like someone had a leather cheek piece on it because it has a faded area of the finish in the buttstock. Also has the combo tool, chamber brush and oiler in the stock but no cleaning rods. Looks like it has a NM op rod spring guide too. I think I did pretty damn good for $1200 with no tax and a $10 TICS fee. Attached File Attached File Attached File Attached File Attached File |

Nice score! Chock full O' quality USGI parts is a win! IF the Bipod is real USGI, [there were some pretty good knockoffs made but still, not USGI] it's worth very good money. If you don't see some brazing used, especially on the legs and feet, it's a knock off. Parkerizing wouldn't stick to the brazing so it's usually pretty obvious. |

I have zero problems or concerns with a cast receiver. I was letting him know it was cast, but trying not to make him feel like he didn't get a great deal. ****Unless it's a Fed Ord receiver and then, maybe. |

I found the rack at a local gun shop for $50. The old traditional wooden gun racks ted to be a little small for surplus guns, but this on fit good.
