Was 14" SBS, finally found a cheap enough spare barrel (<$50), as I did not want to alter/damage the factory barrel, so now it's 12.5", just barely long enough to clear the magazine tube. Knoxx adjustable buttstock, which I want to modify to allow at least one more notch shorter, Crimson Trace LS-870 laser, TacStar Industries Side Saddle shell holder. I may swap out the slide for one like pictured in one of the above posts that will mount a light. With the laser on one side and the Side Saddle on the other, I had to make up custom length screws to attach both. I may also drill comp holes in the top of the barrel at the muzzle. View Quote Nice! @Jodan1776, if you end up changing out the forearm let me know. I'll buy that one off you if you don't want it (I love that style). Here's my SBS project. I added a rear sight last year and it made a world of difference. I think I'll also add a small weaver/pic rail in front of the rear sight for an optic, and I'm working on attaching a light to the existing forearm. Once that stuff is done I'll do a final review. Thanks! I haven't looked up the price on those Surefires for a while but that's crazy, I guess like the rest of their pricing.
How do you like the Knoxx stock? We have them on our 870's at work and they seem to do great at recoil mitigation. |
