When hunting or clays, I never notice recoil. I shoot a Benelli, but really not that much difference in the top brands. Lower recoil, go smaller gauges or heavier gun. |

What are you looking for it to do? If a clays gun, heavier is better. If a field gun, better off going to 20 gauge. I shoot “competitively” and we have plenty of guys in the league who are more than competitive with 20s of all kinds of make//model. One of the keys is gun fit, and mount. A gun that fits feels far lower recoil than one that doesn’t. I’ll fitting guns generate cheek slap, and all kinds of other discomfort. -shooter |
