For anyone using a Magpul RLS; do you have it set for all three positions or do you have to reset to go from standing to prone/kneeling?  I'm thinking about replacing the sling on one of my AR's and the Magpul looks like a good option.  I want to use this rifle for three position shooting, but the J hook on a GI sling is a pain to deal with on my Magpul MOE stock. I was thinking the RLS would work set up like a Rhodesian and may work for all three positions.

I have not tried any other configuration yet. Just turned it upside down from the photo config so the bulge of the tri-glide faces inward and does not catch on my chest rig as much.

As-is with my body shape, it is just long enough for patrol carry and some sling tension offhand. Transitioning to unsupported sitting or prone is a little cumbersome (I would like a ~6" extension), but the sling again almost provides support. With the loop set for prone support it will probably be a little short/tight for sitting or kneeling.

It has been 8 months. I really need to finish editing my video featuring this sling...

For me the adjustment between sitting and prone is fairly minimal, but the adjustment between those two positions and standing/offhand is pretty significant.

For Appleseed-type events I tend to not use the sling much, if at all, for standing/offhand.

I like my RLS a lot but i’ll be damned if I can figure out how to use the different “modes.” I read the manual but im a little too dull to figure it out on my own. Seems like many instructors don’t bother with it, so I don’t either. So I just throw it over my shoulder and run it.
