I love the Frankengun!  Some day you'll have to add a stainless steel barrel extension just to complete the mismatched effect!

I didn't have a shotgun that was appropriate for 3 gun when I participated in my first match last year, so I picked up a Remington 870 Express to get me started.  I've always found the pistol grip to be a more natural fit for me. I've added a three round magazine extension since taking this picture.

Do you guys have any recommendation on the choke?  I'm still using the breaching choke that came with the gun and it is completely inappropriate for the sport.  What chokes are you guys using, and what type of shot do you use in tandem with them?  If you can't tell, I'm a complete shotgun noob.

My "accidental 1100", one day while looking for something else I noticed I had almost a complete 1100 except for the reciever.  A few weeks later I saw a pretty clean looking 1100 receiver for sale on GB.  So I set a bid limit that I thought was way to low to get the receiver.  I was pleasantly surprised by winning!  I have a 21" vent rib I am going to try at some point.  The add-ons are a Nordic mag extension, Nordic clamp, Dave's Metal Works easy loader, over sized safety, and some free hand relief cuts around the loading opening.....

My 11-87.  Only thing I have done so far is add the +5 Choate extension.  I have an oversided bolt latch in my parts box for it, but am waiting on the Dave's Metal Works easy loader to get here from Midway so I only have to send it to the gun doctor 1 time.  Also have the synthetic aftermarket furniture on the wayas well.  I took my Dremel to the indents on the magazine tube this past weekend and now I can actually get 9 shells in the tube and 1 in the chamber, so I'm pretty happy about that.

So after months of research and trial and error its finally done.

Benelli M2 24''
Nordic +5 and low drag follower
Nordic barrel clamp
Nordic BFB charging handle
Arrendondo button
C-Rums lifter (polished by a local guy)
Benny Hill lightened bolt and opened loading port
HiViz comp sight
Home stipple job
ETA: The runaway Dremel marks you see on the receiver are from myself, not Benny. I has started on the loading port myself, then decided to send it to the pros along with the bolt.
I got lucky when I found the gun. I had a 21'' on order when I saw this one on the shelf of the local shop. Im happy I went with the longer barrel. Ive got about 300 rounds through it since I finished it. Its maiden voyage will be this weekend at a local match. Sorry for the crappy cell pictures.

I have posted mine on the main shootgun thread before.
But why not here:

It is old school but it works for me!
I did see a few things I would like to know more about.
I the thread does not mine.
I have been looking for a Nordic Clamp (without a rail).
Best and only price is $30.35 No one sells it with shipping for less?
Also saw a few three gunners have a butt stock like this:

Who makes them? Do they make them for my 1100?

jtischauser

On this shotgun,

how long is the barrel?
I have seen shotgun with the extention out pass the barrel 3 inch or so.
Yours is one of a kind. Does it work? Have you shot it in a match like that?
I think I see 15rds. (Thats about 5 more then mine holds)
Is that counting the one down the tube as well?
How often do you have to paint that extention?
Great pictures. Why not more posting?

PITA45

P.S. All the threegun match I have shot over the years.
I have never shot one in the dark. Has anyone?

Yours is one of a kind. Does it work? Have you shot it in a match like that? Not mine so I don't know but I'd guess it works. It uses two springs and two followers.
Is that counting the one down the tube as well? Yes, 14+1.
How often do you have to paint that extention? He doesn't, it's steel.
Great pictures. Why not more posting? Hopefully because everyone is out shooting.

Jesse can give you more info but I've read a few discussions on other forums about the beast.

Here's my Saiga.  I made the scope rail and silver soldered it to the gas block and the area where the dovetail sight used to be.  Primary Arms micro dot for now, (hopefully a C-More soon).  Carolina Shooters conversion kit, JTE magwell, I fabricated a trigger finger magazine release and silver soldered that to the stock release.  The magazine is two 10 round SGM magazines I coupled together end for end with an adapter I made from GSM nylon, holds 19+1.  I milled the dustcover, removed the internal dust cover, drilled, tapped and spot faced the bolt and turned the left side charging handle which attaches with a 1/4-28 cap screw and is countersunk into the bolt carrier.  DPH reliability kit.  Runs cheap Walmart/Federal on #4 setting.

Next step is porting/brake work but not sure how I'm going to go about it yet.

I like it!

I've been meaning to ask you, how do you like having your RDS as close to your face as you do on your Saiga?  Nice big field of view like that I bet?

I like the field of view a lot. I did not care for it they way it came from R&R with a forward mount where an AK rear sight typically is. It helps a lot on areal targets like in this stage.
Aerial clays stage

I got 4 out of 6 which got me second place on this stage. The best shooter got 5 of 6.

I believe I might have to make a rear trunion that will allow me to do that, hopefully I can get about as low as possible in that position as well.

Stoeger M2000. Haven't done much to it yet. I added a +6 Nordic extension, Nordic follower, and has some trigger work done. Eventually I will maybe get a different barrel and get the feed port beveled out.

Let us know how you like it. I've been eyeing SAI's Magic Stick for a while, and I'm getting a little more serious now that I'm shooting more shotgun (trap/sporting clays) in with my pistol and rifle stuff.

I guess ill throw mine in.  Nothing special but picked up a 22" 930 this past Saturday.  Saving money For a house so trying to keep costs down.  Took it apart Monday and started to go to work.  The front of The load port cut my thumb up doing practice loads so I took out some carbide bits, files, sand paper and polishing compount.  The lifter also bit me a couple times so that had to go as well.  I also polished the snot out of the follower and took care of the edges to prevent hang ups. I'm in The process of making my own matchsaver, and next on The list is a custom bolt release similar to what everyone has on their Benellis and possibly a longer mag tube cap like the NC XXL to get me to a 9 or 10 round tube..  Just need to see what I can fab up using the equipment at work.

Sorry for the poor quality pics.

The jm looks nice man and good job on the lifter.  You should polish up the shell stop

http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/lid=15831/GunTechdetail/Fixing-A-Mossberg-930-Feed-From-The-Tube-Problem?source=CJ&ch=aff&AID=6147349

Polish up the extractor groove on the barrel, the extractot top and bottom where it rides in the bolt carrier and the plunger.

And lastly, some people are replacing the hammer spring for a stiffer extra power ruger 10/22 hammer spring to address the occassional light strikes.. those few things are good preventative mods for the jm and some of its more common issues.

Thanks, I forgot to add I also polished the shell stop.  Finished a shotgun match today and It ran perfect.  I've got about 450 through It now without any issues.

I'll get to polishing up some more this week for a 3gun in 2 weeks.  I didn't read anything on the extractor yet so thanks.  I'll place the spring on My next Midway order, I've read up on that one.
