It's time to update the prescription of my corrective lenses and I've decided to invest in a pair of ballistic-rated (ANSI Z87) lenses and frames.  I'm still only wearing single-vision (not progressive or bi-focal) lenses.  I'd like a pair that could be worn everyday but will also work well for gun games and hunting.  A quick Google search came up with a lot of options for brands, styles and features. So, what are you wearing and what, if anything, would you change about them?

Thanks,
AT7WE2

Thanks for the reply.  I'm still trying to figure out what to buy.  Lots of options. Looking to spend less than $400.  Was hoping to find something with transition lenses so I could shoot with the same pair indoors and outdoors but not sure if that's a realistic expectation.

My employer pays for them. I so rarely have to go into the plant that I just keep my old ones in my office & the new ones in my range bag.

You should check out Zenni. They have a decent set of options in the safety glasses section.

Very timely topic!

I just won a $400 gift certificate for Hunters Gold at the state cowboy match.

I had lasik 18 years ago and my distance vision is pretty close to the 20/20. I wear +1.5 cheap readers when doing something like reading or working on the computer, or basically for any table/bench activity.  I shoot the cowboy action with the cheap +0.5 diopter shooting glasses from Amazon.

Now I have an opportunity to get a proper setup.  Have vision test scheduled for today and will ask for a bifocal prescription.  I think Hunters Gold can do a bifocal or bifocal reversed, but I am not sure if that's the best way for shooting?  Maybe I should go for a mono setup?

What's the best way to get shooting glasses for a far sighted person?
