I apologize in advance for my ignorance. I couldn't seem to find an answer with a search.
1. Under 3 Gun Nation rules how exactly do they define "Factory Configuration" for pistols? Are we talking as strict as USPSA Production? (No magwells, only factory option extended mag and slide releases, no grip alterations other than stipling and/or grip tape) 2. Withall the variations of ARs and other rifles how do you define "Factory Configuration" for rifles? 3. Are there restrictions on rifle magazines in Tactical Optics/Irons? |

2. They don't really. As long as it operates generally like a gun that's out there its ok. I've seen all kinds of rifles at 3 gun matches and never heard of one not being allowed for not being a factory configuration. 3. No |

Thanks for the help. Our club is considering joining the club series and it helps to know in advance. Wanted to make sure my G34 that I run in Limited was OK. I was sure my AR was gtg but just want to avoid problems and be able to answer the questions of others. Kind of surprises me their is no mag restrictions for rifles in Tac Optics/Irons.
Should have an answer by beginning of next week on whether or not we will be joining 3GN. I'm expecting a "Go Ahead" by Saturday night. |
| Kind of thought it was to prevent some kind of super-exotic, Area 51-type of guns. Had to be sure. I see a lot of limited-type pistols while watching the Pro-Series on TV. I just want to keep us in line with everyone else at the other clubs. Also, I didn't want to have to undo some of the upgrades on my pistol. I have it just about the way I want it. |

No Even custom built ARs in new wildcat calibers are considered factory configuration, so the "factory" criteria is interpreted very loosely :) As long as you can still call it an AR, it seems to be ok. |
