LOL! You fail. S&W 500's don't give a shit about crown protection and those are wood staining drips. My Evo doesn't leak. It has dual belt drives with a dry clutch.

This brings a tear to my eye. Not so random and clumsy as a 9mm. An elegant weapon from a more civilized age.

With all the recent pros coming out of the closet and announcing they are metricsexuals I feel it is my duty to bring this issue to light.

First off, nothing screams 'Merica like a big fat American designed .45 ACP cartridge. Its big. Its heavy. Most importantly its measured in fucking inches.

Second off, There's the argument that .45 does nothing better than 9mm. Well let me tell you, that's bullshit. A 9mm round may kill the body, but a .45 ACP round kills the soul. This has been proven time and time again by science and séances.

Third off, Did I mention its measured in inches? Some may not find that a big deal, but it is. There are two types of countries in the world, those that use the metric system, and those who have put a man on the moon

Plus it makes you far more manly to use .45acp. Just a simple fact.

Goddamn right it does.

I once got a chick knocked-up just by letting her shoot my .45.

She had twin boys.

9 vs 45 will be debated from now on with no clear winner.   I own them both and love them both but my comfort level goes up a notch when carrying the .45 with extra mag or two.
To each his own but at the end of the day neither will save your bacon if you can't get to it quickly... sooooo, keep your 9 or 45 where you can reach it very, very quickly if needed. As always YMMV

Stop listening to gun counter bullshit, because that is all it is. I have purchased 8 Govt. Model 1911s, Colt and Springfield, in the last 15 years. Not one of them had a single issue; not one.

Now I just have to decide which to carry on my birthday tomorrow.

Is there a factory 1911 available that I won't have to
A. Spend tons of money to get in the first place
B. Spend tons of money to get it to run right without jamming?
Because I want a 1911, but the G19 is just so simple and easy, but 'Merica says I need 1911.

This man speaks the truth! The 1911 is probably the most copied and modified handgun design in history. Some makers do it really well, others not so much. I have NEVER had a 1911 built by ANY quality gun company run unreliably. All mine go bang every time and they are bone stock factory guns that have never had anything done to them aside from an occasional cleaning. Mine aren't range toys either. Not only do they get carried a lot, but I use them outdoors all the time and they get FILTHY inside and out, but they always work. All this "jam-o-matic" B.S. is exactly that, no different than the same thing being said about AR-15's.

Here's another very important point: Buy and use QUALITY magazines! Probably 90% or more malfunctions in semi-automatic firearms can be attributed to defective or misfitting magazines. Sometimes Brand X guns don't play well with Brand Y magazines, even if they are both solid products. If you stick to factory mags you prolly won't have any problems, but I like higher capacity mags than usually come with the guns. I have found Chip McCormick and Wilson 8 and 10 rounders to work very well.

Just to add to the 1911 mags mentioned, Tripp also makes great magazines. In both the 45 and 9mm 1911's I posted earlier, I've always used either Wilson or Tripp, never had any issues with either firearm.
