What if she comes in next week with an AR15 made from a sword ?

Quoted: Were the peasants allowed swords? View Quote If you could afford one you weren't a peasant. As far as I know, though, commoners in most places were allowed to own weapons. You often couldn't carry them in cities, but if you were travelling on the highway or on your property, no problem. |

Eligible citizens of the canton or district meet on a certain day in the open air to decide on specific issues. Voting is accomplished by those in favor of a motion raising their hands. Historically, the only proof of citizenship necessary for men to enter the voting area was to show their ceremonial sword or Swiss military sidearm (bayonet); this gave proof that you were a freeman allowed to bear arms and to vote. While voting cards have been introduced, in Appenzell presenting a side arm is still valid for men instead of the voting card. |

...so they took a decent rifle and turned it into a less useful weapon? OK.

Whatever. It’s not like there’s a shortage of AR rifles, or it was some collectible.
Rich weirdos can do whatever they want with their money. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my legs. |

Look how shitty their finish on that blade is, pitting and uneven grind lines. I got better finishes as a highschool student on my swords castings. |

View Quote It’s a hypebeast thing. If I can get a free sword out of sending them a clapped out gun that would be dope. I wish I had a ragged out sear host at the moment, would be cool to have one with H&K on it. |

Quoted: The swords aren't really made from ARs. The swords are made when an AR is allegedly destroyed. Or thought to be destroyed. Or wished to be destroyed. You see, it's like carbon credits. Not really offsetting anything, but it feelz good. As in, "I decided not to fly my private jet today so I awarded myself 10,000 carbon credits." View Quote Huh, we should try that with taxes. |

Perhaps make a more practical thing like a hunting knife or a kitchen cleaver? Though, yeah. I would want the resulting blade of better quality than what is seen in this picture. |

View Quote I just realized I could do it with a geissele rifle. Would be great for shitposting. Also have an M1 Carbine that needs new parts, and a PTR that isn’t functional. |

View Quote Everything in that sword is aluminum I almost guarantee. PTR and M1 are all steel (aside from wood stock and furniture of course). Based on their casting skills I highly doubt they have the skills to forge weld multiple steel pieces of non uniform shapes into a blade. |

Might be enough metal in one of those turds to make a pocket knife. Either way an MP7 in the shredder wouldn't trigger me anymore than a Hipoint. |

Im calling bullshit on this.
There is no way an AR has that much workable metal in it to make that sword. |

View Quote You're nuts if you think your grandchildren won't be clamoring for it in 100 years. When robots do the majority of jobs what else are people going to do? We are on the cusp of drastic societal change in first world countries. 100 years goes by very quickly. |

Quoted: Im calling bullshit on this. There is no way an AR has that much workable metal in it to make that sword. View Quote It doesn't, its quite clear they used multiple lowers worth of volume. But I suspect their poor finish is at least in part due to trying to use as little metal as possible, as such I bet their gating, flow control, and risers were virtually non existent. I bet they vertical cast that bad boy with a big ass hole for an easy target, terrible metal flow and turbulence that way. |

She's resting it on her shoulder, right? If it had an edge, wouldn't it cut her?

Wait, aren’t blades banned in UK, NZ and some other places? Isn’t turning a weapon into a weapon an empty gesture?

Automatic weapon, ar15a3? When did colt start offering them to the public?
