He's got the goofy, medicore ex-player vibe going on(his twitter is pretty hilarious @dimtillard). He's also on the Brewer pre and post game show. He'd need a lot of work tho, like 5-6 years minimum. If Ueck were to retire next year, Matt Lapay would take the position. Lapay is a legend in Wisconsin sports broadcasting and one of the best in the business. He's been doing Badger games for decades(basketball since '88, football since 1994) and does fill in work on the TV side when Brian Anderson does national games like the NBA playoffs. |

Was just a spitball thought. Go the ex-player route and see which works best where. Competition usually works well. But yeah, Dillard needs a few years to tp his game, I find him too dry personally. Though have no reference on how Axford was doing.
John Rocker didn't play for Milwaukee so there is that bit against him. Not saying he wouldn't be good, but former team guy vs former opponent may be a hinderance. |
