Poor Iowa. No one deserves to be subjected to an influx of Yankees fans.

Actually earlier tonight my wife and I were checking to see if tickets were on sale for this game. It is a bucket list item for us. We do get chances to see the Yanks when they play the Twins and interleague with the Rockies. CO is 6.5 hours away and Minn is 10 hours. That's as close as it gets.

Maybe they can use the park the San Antonio Missions some minor league park to play at? Smaller, but it's not like the Rangers are setting attendance records.
Who posted that attendance thing? I was surprised at how good our attendance is/was, even when they're  sorry.
You're right. I'm sorry. The Mall Cops do have a pretty good fan base.

I'm just...I'm just jealous after seeing all those empty seats at PNC year after year.
You could always become a Yankees fan......
Have you ever been to a Yankees home game, and if not do you ever plan on it?
I do plan on it. It is quite a chore to get to them for me.
Id like to see them at home too.

Maybe you can see them in Iowa next year.

I love the very last look at Yeah Yeah's face when he sees Wendy and realizes what made Squints' balls drop early. It's just a quick reaction with his eyes, but it says everything.

Alright Rosenthal is saying more is coming so I'm gonna chill out a bit.

But Deshields makes no sense. We have enough shitty outfielders. They don't form like Voltron to make one good one.

We still need one good outfielder and a 2B

The Rangers' organizational 30th ranked prospect. Looks like he's a reliever with a good fastball, but his slider and command are graded as 50 (average).

Clase has a huge upside. When they moved him up, he pitched his way into late innings situations. Sucks to lose him.

See, when I become a multi-trillionaire, I'm going to devote all my time, energy, and money to making my dreams of revenge, moral degeneracy, and 30 foot high robot baseball all come true. You've given me another idea.

Let's say the OF-Bots has been leaking like a sieve all game.  So the manager can take them and add in two bench players to make Super-Mega-OF-Bot-3000.

Clase could be fun. We have a knack for pitchers.

I have no use for Deshields. This is a straight up1 on 1 trade to me. And you guys fleeced us.

That said Kluber would realistically be the #4 starter in our rotation. He's behind Cookie Bieber and Clev easily.

I guess the front office disagrees with me but I had faith he'd bounce back. Kluber isn't a fireballer or thrower he's a pitcher. A pitchers pitcher at that. Since his CYA in 2017 he's lost 2 mph on his fb every year. 2019 he was topping out at ~91. But again I had faith he'd figure it out.

He's had back issues late in the season the past few years and before he got his arm broke he had an ERA over 5. But still it's a bad trade.

Are we better next year than this year with a pen addition and no Kluber? Yes. We have tons of good starters. We got 3 more studs that are gonna be in Columbus because we got no room.

Hope he does well with you guys. Greatest Indian pitcher in my lifetime. Hope he stops throwing sinkers though. Those got mashed every time this year. He needs to find his slurve again.

With him and Kip gone it's like the end of an era. But they were fun.

As it stands, yes the trade seems Rangers leaning. You're gonna love Clase, though. He's electric. If Kluber falls out for us, it suddenly doesn't look so good.

You may find DeLino grows on you. When he gets on base, he's a serious weapon. He's just so damn inconsistent.

So Mad Man Manfred is debating cutting down the minors.

https://rumbunter.com/2019/12/15/pittsburgh-pirates-manfred-threatens-to-dismantle-minor-league-baseball/

What I thought was interesting was the comments which are simply pay the superstars a little bit less and put that money back into the minors, which makes perfect sense to me.

I do think after the 2020 season when the CBA is up for renegotiation something is going to have to change in the economics of baseball. The insanely high deals are killing the small market teams. We know the owners will never agree to some kind of a salary basement and the players and union and agents will never go for a salary cap. Something is going to have to give.

I'm surprised he got so many years. His exit velocity jumped 2 mph last year, and his hard hit % over 6%.

Now hes going from a very forgiving park to an unforgiving one. Away from San Fran, his ERA was over 5, his FIP 4.51, he had a 1.41 WHIP, and 1.59 HR/9 rate.

Might be. Depends on the owner. Likely all they do is adjust for inflation. Meanwhile, that 15 million sits in an account somewhere and nets ownership ~10%.

Break the long standing affiliation between the Pirates and the Altoona Curve? How can he even propose such a thing? I never heard of Altoona, or the Altoona Curve, and I don't care what happens to any of the sons of whores doping it up in the Pirates minor league system.

Well lets see, 38M Canadians so the Jays are Canadas team and supported country wide.  Nobody likes the Mariners, even folks from Seattle. More Jays fans in their building than Mariner fans.

We were good in '15-'16, led the league in attendance but Rogers management brought in the 2 dopes from Cleveland to run the team.  Its been crash and burn since then. We should have kept Alex Anthopolis to run the team. He did a good job rebuilding the Braves.
Votto was born and raised in Toronto and he doesnt want to play here.
