A workplace shooting in Hesston has killed three or four people and injured as many as 20, according to Harvey County Sheriff T. Walton.
The shooting at Excel Industries was reported shortly after 5 p.m., a Harvey County dispatcher said. He described the scene as an “active shooter” situation but said “the suspect is down.” Walton later confirmed that a suspect, an employee at the turf care products manufacturer, was shot and killed by law enforcement. Via Christi St. Francis officials said the hospital has accepted four victims from the shooting, with two more en route, according to a spokeswoman. She said that two victims were in serious condition, one was fair, and one more was being assessed. An official with Wesley Medical Center said it was expecting to receive three patients. Their conditions were unknown. Newton Medical Center is getting at least four patients and perhaps as many as seven, according to CEO Steve Kelly. An employee who said he was in the plant at of the time of the shooting said he heard gunshots and people shouting to get out of the building. “Everybody was running,” said the employee, who did not to give his name. He said the man, whom he recognized as a co-worker, seemed to be on a rampage. “He was coming at everybody,” the employee said. He said he noticed two weapons: an AK-47 and some type of handgun. Numerous law enforcement officers from a variety of agencies were scattered through the Excel parking lot. One holding a rifle appeared to be standing guard to an entrance to the building. Other officers appeared to be looking through vehicles in parking lot. Excel Industries touts itself on its website as a “leading manufacturer of turf care products” including Hustler Turf Equipment and BigDog Mower Co. lines. The business is located at 200 S. Ridge Road in Hesston. Read more here: http://www.kansas.com/news/local/crime/article62530532.html#storylink=cpy |

Why can't these idiots just kill themselves instead of hurting innocent co-workers.

I will never understand the thought process behind shooting a bunch of unarmed people.

Anyone found a name yet on the shooter so we can save his FB page before it's yanked??
|
|
Well fuck. I hope the active shooter response plan I'm writing for work never gets used
