Went ice fishing. Probably a foot or a little better of ice left where I was. There was a bald eagle on the ice. They know that the people fishing leave fish on the ice for them. This is how close you can get.

Books I do manage to finish often involve vampires. Or English country house murders. I'm reading one of each at the moment.

50 won't feed through an AR magwell, so it's no necessary, and that thick rib provides lots of support for the heavy upper and the rifle it will build, as a whole. Notice how thick the receiver extension ring is, at the back, too?

Not strictly necessary, since I run a 50 upper on an old Cavalry Arms polymer lower without any real problems, but having a beefy lower certainly can't hurt. I don't shoot the 50 all that much, either (with ammo for it being so pricey).
