Saw a red fox cross in front of us tonight on the way home from some friends.

A wolf almost as long as Richard was tall leapt upon his back. Richard staggered, but didn't fall. The mouth sank teeth into his shoulder. Furred clad and human hands grabbed at him from every side. Fuck it. I fired the machine gun into the wooden floor. It would have looked more impressive if I'd fired into the overhead lights, but I didn't want to catch my own ricochet. Holding the machine gun one-handed was a trip. I held on and sprayed a line from me to the bed. I ended with the gun pointing at the fight. Everyone had frozen, shocked.
The giant man-wolf spoke, its furry jaws thick and strange around human words, "You can't kill us all, human." He was right. I raised the machine gun a little. "True, but who's going to be first in line?" -Anita Blake, Vampire Executioner {The Killing Dance} |

Installed a new dash cam in my car yesterday ... And got rear ended the first time I drive with it. So I guess my good news is only my car got hurt and not me

First post of the day. Trying to decide what to do on my day off.

Part of me is sad this is taking so long. Who'da thunk GD was this recalcitrant to get a chance for free stuff, while upping post count!?
Part of me is because it greatly enhances my chances of winning OP's cool prizes! |

and so I enter for the second time of the day, and my post count grows ever higher...

"I started to say something, but Richard said, "Come on, Anita. We have to go now." He was right. I could kill a lot of them, but not all. I hadn't brought a spare clip for the machine gun. I hadn't thought I'd need it. Silly me."

Yesterday was almost like spring! Strapped on the snowshoes and went for a jog after snow removal chores. A coyote did his best to pack down my trails after the previous day's snowfall.

It's a beautiful sunny day and much of the snow is gone.
This is a quarter mile form my house. My son headed out around 10 on Friday night to rescue one of his friends, when he hit this drift he high centered his truck. That big pile of snow in the middle is from him digging himself out. He was able to back into the field and get out. He helped two other people before he left, the two SUV's in the photo got stuck after he was gone. You can see our township truck stuck in the background. They got that winched out before noon. There was a guy digging around the white Audi yesterday - he must have given up because it is still there. Attached File |

Oil and filter change. I still cant believe how nice it is having a garage to work on cars instead of laying in a parking lot

Time to start the brake re-do on the 81 911. I last did them about 20 years ago.
I rebuilt calipers and I have a new master cylinder, so most of the time should be getting the old master out without making a mess in the frunk (not trivial) and the "while I'm in there" stuff.. |

Should have my car back up and running soon. Attached File

Had a picnic with the kids at the park in 45 degree weather while mama went out to lunch with her friends. Now they're both asleep in the car!
