Kids want to watch a movie….what do you suggest from the 1980-90s (and older)
They have already seen off the top of my head Back to the Future series Indiana Jones Goonies War Games Short Circuit Flight of the Navigator The Last Starfighter Star Wars movies I’m sure there are a lot more they have seen, but those are off the top of my head. Remembered more they have seen Tremors Honey I Shrunk the Kids, Princess Bride The Karate Kid A bunch of the old Disney live action movies/series (old yeller, Dave Crockett etc….) Home Alone The Sandlot (the oldest isn’t really a sports kid, so he didn’t care much about it..but he was younger when he saw it) I don’t remember if they have seen Big or not… |

Quoted: I think the oldest would like it…he doesn’t get scared of movies as he know it is all fake, so that might be fun. Maybe closer to Christmas. View Quote 1980's Christmas movie is A Christmas Story. Our family always watched it together on TBS/TNT when growing up. I've watched it almost every year. Love that movie. Edit- Iron Eagle might be another good one for a ~10yearold. |

Adventures in Babysitting
Big Bill and Ted Clash of the Titans 1981 Home Alone Rad The Rocketeer The Sandlot |

I think most of the good ones have been named. Would have to look through the catalog to come up with some new ones. Lots of animated options.
One I can think of specifically I didn't see mentioned, for the holidays, Home Alone 1 & 2. |
|
Porky's
I saw it in the theater, I was 7. I turned out relatively okay. |

The other ones are definitely lower budget, like straight to VHS and made for TV quality. But the traps and the overacting by the bad guys is still pretty entertaining in some of them. |

The turtles and the machine that made food were awesome. The first Jurassic Park is a classic. They haven’t seen it, but have seen the more recent one. The original was way more intense Jumanji is a decent one too |

I was just going for 80's movies.
I watched most everything from the 90's, so that list would be a mile long. Quoted: Porky's I saw it in the theater, I was 7. I turned out relatively okay. View Quote Questionable... |

This is a good book and movie.
https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0100058/ This one might be a hair older for them but a very good movie. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pathfinder_(1987_film) I even have relatives in the last one. |
